Miguna wants to succeed Odinga as Nyanza spokesperson

A controversial lawyer, Miguna Miguna seems to have put himself in a position to start a plot to take power in the Nyanza region as Raila Odinga's successor.

Miguna wants to succeed Odinga as Nyanza spokesperson

In a series of his tweets, Miguna since landing in the country on October 20 has been hinting at a conspiracy to oust Odinga as the political boss of Nyanza and to take that position to himself.

For several times he has been pointing out that the motivation does not come from him personally but from the people and especially from the region who are pushing him to be their political spokesperson.

"Everywhere I go, Kenyans from different walks of life say to me: 'Thank you for being fearless and steadfast and for fighting hard against unjust oppressors. The tyrant brothers have robbed the country to death. We hope you will continue to fight for the looters to be punished!” Miguna said in one of his tweets.

In the sequel, the controversial lawyer also went on to say that last weekend he met some young people from the Luo community on the outskirts of Nairobi who cheered him on and encouraged him that they are counting on him to straighten things out for them.

"Earlier today, when I was walking around Hurlingham, Nairobi, a group of Jaluos approached me saying: "Jatelo! You are the one we now put our hope in you. Jakom's journey has come to an end!” The support and solidarity from all Kenyans has been humbling and overwhelming!” he wrote.

Miguna recently returned to Kenya after four years in exile due to conflict with former president Uhuru Kenyatta's administration. In recent days he said he would give 'instructions' to his Luo community.

Will he be able to remove Odinga as the spokesman of the Luo political community ?
