The body of LGBT activist Edwin Chiloba will be buried today

Fashion designer and LGBTQ activist Edwin Chiloba will be buried today in Sergoit Village.

Friends and family have just taken the body from the MTRH mortuary. A family spokesman said everyone is welcome to pay their last respects at the home.

The spokesperson of the family, Gaudencia Tanui, has said that she is hopeful that Chiloba's killers will be brought to justice, and that the homicide department is in constant communication.

5 suspects, including Chiloba's long-time friend, are in custody while police complete investigations before formal charges are filed.

Tanui has also told the Niews254 that the family has been shocked by the social media messages directed at their family, which she said left them deeply hurt.

She hopes all the hate doesn't take away from the fact that a crime has been committed and justice must be served.
