Jubilee MPs won't take part in Azimio's 'anti-Ruto' rallies - Waluke

John Waluke, MP for Sirisia, has stated that Jubilee MPs have withdrawn their participation in the "anti-Ruto" rallies organized by the Azimio 'One Kenya Coalition,' calling them unnecessary.

Waluke's declaration comes after President William Ruto and his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua held a private conference with 30 Jubilee MPs on Wednesday. On Tuesday, President Ruto also held a meeting with 9 ODM MPs at the State House, which sparked a reaction from leaders of the Azimio coalition.

While speaking in Nairobi on Wednesday, Waluke stated that after his meeting with Ruto, they have determined to not participate in the Azimio rallies and instead will collaborate with the government to serve the best interests of the Kenyan people.

"We were elected by our constituents to represent their interests in Parliament, and that is why we have chosen to withdraw from the Azimio rallies," stated Waluke. He emphasized that the country is currently facing numerous challenges and it is imperative that elected leaders work with the government to improve the lives of the citizens.
