Jorginho celebrating Arsenal's Goal

In the aftermath of a nail-biting match against Aston Villa, Arsenal emerged victorious with a 4-2 win. The Gunners, who had previously suffered a defeat against Manchester City, were in dire need of a win to stay in the title race. The match saw Mikel Arteta's men fighting back from a 2-1 deficit at halftime, eventually levelling the scores at the hour mark. In the dying moments of the game, Jorginho (31) scored a sensational long-range goal that hit Emiliano Martinez's (30) head before going into the back of the net, securing the much-needed win for Arsenal. Gabriel Martinelli (21) added a fourth goal for the Gunners to seal the deal.

This match marked the first time Arsenal faced their former manager Unai Emery, and they needed a similar result to their victory against George Graham's Tottenham Hotspur in March 2001. However, the Gunners got off to a terrible start, with Matty Cash dispossessing Oleksandr Zinchenko and setting up Ollie Watkins for his fourth goal in as many games. Despite this, Arsenal responded well and equalised through Bukayo Saka's thunderbolt just 15 minutes later.

Villa took the lead again just after the half-hour mark, with Philippe Coutinho scoring his first league start under Emery with a reverse finish. However, Arsenal came back stronger in the second half and scored through Zinchenko's pinpoint finish, which was assisted by Martin Odegaard. Eddie Nketiah had a chance to score, but he couldn't provide the finishing touch. The Gunners were fortunate when Jorginho's ambitious effort hit the crossbar and then Martinez's head, trickling into the back of the net.

With Martinelli adding a fourth goal, Arsenal claimed a much-needed victory, ending their four-game winless streak and reclaiming top spot ahead of Manchester City's match with Nottingham Forest. Meanwhile, Villa suffered their third consecutive defeat in heartbreaking fashion.
