Kylian Mbappe, who sustained a thigh injury in a match against Montpellier on February 1, has made a faster-than-anticipated recovery and has been named in the squad of 22 players for Paris Saint-Germain's first leg match against Bayern Munich in the last 16 of the Champions League on Tuesday.

Following Mbappe's injury, PSG reported that he would be out for three weeks, but he has returned to training sooner than expected. PSG coach, Christophe Galtier, initially expressed doubts about Mbappe's availability for the Bayern match, stating that the team would not take any risks with the French forward.

Nonetheless, Mbappe trained on Sunday and was observed participating in training exercises with other PSG players such as Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Marco Verratti on Monday, leading to his inclusion in the squad.

Bayern Munich coach, Julian Nagelsmann, had previously claimed that PSG were attempting to play mind games when they declared that Mbappe would not be fit for the match.

PSG, who are owned by Qatar, have never won the Champions League and are hoping to remain on track for their first title by progressing past Bayern Munich in the competition.
