Daughter of Putin ally killed in Moscow attack

The Office of the President of Ukraine has highlighted the car explosion that happened last night in the Moscow region, where the daughter of the Russian philosopher, the ideologue of the "Russian world" Alexander Dugin was killed.

"I emphasize that Ukraine has nothing to do with this, because we are not a criminal state like Russia that is run under a terrorist regime," Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the Head of the President's Office, said in a national telethon.

In his opinion, these murders testify to the struggle for power and influence of various groups within Russia.

According to other reports, the target of the attack was probably Dugin himself, who decided to use another car at the last minute instead of accompanying his daughter.

The daughter of a close ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin has been killed in a suspected car bomb.

Darya Dugina died after an explosion on a road outside Moscow, Russia's investigative committee said.

It is thought that his father, the Russian philosopher Alexander Dugin who is known as "Putin's Brain," may have been the target of the attack.

Mr Dugin is a prominent nationalist ideologue and is believed to be close to the Russian president.

Alexander Dugin and his daughter were attending a concert in a farm near Moscow, where the philosopher gave a speech.

The "Culture" festival describes itself as a family event for art lovers and takes place in the Zakharovo estate where the Russian poet Alexander Pushkin once lived.

The two were due to return from the concert on Saturday evening in the same car before Mr Dugin reportedly made a last-minute decision to travel separately from his daughter.

Unverified images posted on the Telegram network appear to show Mr Dugin looking on in shock as emergency services arrive at the scene.

The BBC has not been able to confirm the video.

Investigators confirmed that Ms. Dugina died at the scene near the village of Bolshiye Vyazemy.
