Kalonzo to join Kenya Kwanza?

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has dismissed allegations that he is sick of Azimio One Kenya and joined Kenya Kwanza.

In the past few days there have been rumors that the former vice president is negotiating with the president-elect William Ruto about how he will be included in the coalition that he leads.

Kalonzo has however noted that the rumors are baseless and has made it clear that he is currently collaborating with his colleagues in the Azimio to oppose the presidential results announced by the IEBC in the Supreme court.

"I think these are ambitious people. You know where we are going. We are going directly to follow them in the Supreme Court," Kalonzo told NTV.

In the past few days, the leader of Kenya Kwanza and president-elect William Ruto has been receiving some politicians from the opposition Azimio coalition.

There have been rumors that the outgoing deputy president is on the way to strengthen his influence in the country by registering Kalonzo, a claim that the Wiper leader has now denied.

On Saturday Kalonzo joined Raila's family to receive religious leaders and various sects who visited his home in Karen.

In the meeting, Raila assured his supporters that his team has not yet given up on the quest to take over the leadership of the country, informing them that they are looking forward to find a peaceful solution.

"We have said that we want to see that if justice is done then peace will be found. As the late Desmond Tutu said, without justice there can be no peace. Similarly, without peace there can be no reconciliation," he said.

He said there are many Kenyans who are still shocked by the results announced on Monday while others are celebrating.

"We have said that we do not want to see chaos or violence in our country. We want to see peace lasting and that is why we have decided to use the law and go before the Supreme Court to prove the evidence we have to show that the election was a joke. I am doing this to defend our nation's democracy," He said.

On Monday, the chairman of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Wafula Chebukati on Monday announced William Ruto as the president-elect after receiving 7,176,141 votes while Raila got 6,942,930 votes.

Raila however claimed that Ruto's announcement as president-elect was invalid.
