Azimio set to hold rally at Kibra ahead filing petition

Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition will hold a meeting in Kibra Constituency on Sunday at Kamukunji Grounds.

The coalition stated that the meeting was held to give its supporters in Kibra hope after Raila failed to win the presidency in the August elections.

A large crowd has gathered on the grounds, waiting for their leaders to address them.

The meeting takes place just one day before the coalition is set to file a petition with the Supreme Court challenging the presidential election results, which saw Deputy President William Ruto declared the winner.

Raila claimed that Ruto's declaration as president-elect was null and void.

"No one should take the law into their own hands. We are pursuing constitutional and legal avenues to overturn (Wafula) Chebukati's illegal and unconstitutional statement. We are confident that justice will be served "He stated.

His legal team is investigating seven critical grounds for overturning Ruto's victory at the Supreme Court.
