Nicholas Gumbo holds a meeting with ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi

ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi has met former Rarieda Member of Parliament Nicholas Gumbo.

Gumbo accompanied other people from Siaya directly to the ANC headquarters.

It is alleged that the leader took that step with the aim of working together with the Kenya Kwanza wing.

He was received by the ANC leader who is also one of the leaders in the Kenya Kwanza alliance.

Leader Gumbo is the only politician from Luo Nyanza who has expressed interest in working with Kenya Kwanza despite not running for the Governorship seat through Kenya Kwanza.

Gumbo ran for the Siaya County gubernatorial seat as an independent candidate after losing to James Orengo in the ODM primaries.

The politician has contested for the Siaya County governor's seat for the second time now.

In his first round of vying for the seat, he competed with his opponent Coronel Rasanga who was vying for the seat for his second term.

In the election held on August 9, Nicholas Gumbo competed with James Orengo for the governorship of Siaya.

However, Orengo was declared the winner in the contest and given a certificate by IEBC.
