Narok Senator Ledama ole Kina has said he will fight for Kenyans and defend the rule of law as a leader.

Using his official Twitter page on Friday, Ledama said he is not threatened by the number of leaders who are moving to President-elect William Ruto's camp.

"I am not worried about the rebels, let them go ... I will defend the law and fight for Kenyans on my side ... dictators come and go ... nothing new ...," he wrote.

On Thursday, UDM party leader Ali Roba and seven elected members of parliament withdrew from the Raila Odinga-led Union of Azimio and joined Kenya Kwanza.

On Friday, two MPs from UPIA and the National Agenda Party of Kenya (NAP-K) also joined the Coalition

Azimio's spokesperson Makau Mutua however dismissed the decision.

"No member of Azimio has legally requested the process to withdraw from the union. All members who signed as original members are still members in good standing. Therefore, any alleged defect is legally invalid," he said on Friday.

On Wednesday, 10 elected Members of Parliament also joined Kenya Kwanza.
