A nurse from Kenya who lives in Canada reportedly drowned during a live broadcast on Facebook yesterday evening.

Hellen Wendy started the live show on Thursday at around 3pm, East Africa time.

During the episode, Wendy, who looked cheerful, filmed herself splashing around in the pool. No one else was seen near the pool.

"How's it going? You're here? Are you sleeping at this hour? It's eight o'clock in the afternoon here. I just got off work. I'm cool. I'm just chilling. The water is cold," Wendy was heard telling her viewers at the beginning of the episode.

At the beginning of the episode, Wendy seemed very excited and seemed to enjoy swimming in the pool.

Then she would swim a little and then go back to her phone and look at the people watching.

She was swimming a little and then he came back to his phone and informed the people who were watching her.

"How are you doing? How is life taking you after UDA took over the government?" She was heard asking one of her viewers.

"I'm enjoying myself. It's eight o'clock. So much joy in the world. I'm enjoying it," Wendy was heard saying in the eighth minute of the episode before returning to the water.

At half past nine, she returned to check her phone and answered a message from one of her viewers and then re-entered the water.

Wendy however swam for a few more seconds before she started screaming and gasping for air at ten minutes and 30 seconds.

She was then seen trying to swim out until a few seconds after the 11th minute when he disappeared from the screen. Only her faint cries could be heard until two seconds before the 11th minute when her last whistle was heard.

Then a white man was seen entering the pool in the third hour, nine minutes and was seen again coming out alone in the third hour, 9 minutes and was seen coming out alone five minutes later.

Netizens have continued to mourn the death of the nurse and send condolences to the family.
