Justina Wamae congratulates Ruto, says the election was transparent
Former Roots party deputy presidential candidate Justina Wamae has sent President-elect William Ruto a congratulatory message four days after IEBC declared him the winner.
Wamae in her congratulatory message said that it took her 4 days to listen to the arguments of any assignment about whether the IEBC was free, fair and transparent.
She said she could confidently say that the election was transparent because the polling station agents who were key in the election process would have alerted if the Presiding Officer was not good.
"The Electoral Officer at the constituency level would be upset and point out that the national vote tallying center was not capable of determining the results of the 2022 Presidential election," Wamae said on Friday.
"So when I see some parties like Roots Party that as a member can confidently say that we were not organized in relation to the mobilization of agents saying that the votes were stolen is nonsense."
Wamae posted the congratulatory message on many of his social networks.
"As a future leader, we should stop mocking our institutions which will translate into inciting the public against constitutionally approved institutions," Wamae said.
