Some of the demands by Raila & Azimio submitted to the Supreme Court
The flag bearer of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya on Monday afternoon arrived at the Milimani court with a bang while he was accompanied by supporters of the union and dozens of lawyers not forgetting the entire truck that was loaded with copies of the petitions that he wants the Supreme Court to consider.
Here are some of those requests;
1. Odinga and Azimio want the IEBC commission and its chairman, Chebukati to hand over the receipts and election materials to them within 48 hours.
2. The IEBC Commission and the chairman Wafula Chebukati to allow the inspection of the networks used to store the documents of the presidential results in the same period of 48 hours.
3. The union also wants the court to compel the DCI department to submit the equipment and receipts found in the hands of Venezuelan citizens as well as the computers of the UDA party agents and their results.
4. They want an audit of all spoiled and rejected votes because according to them those votes are important in evaluating the results of the presidency especially in percentage.
5. Detailed review of forms 34A, 34B and 34C
6. Comprehensive audit of KIEMS digital systems and storage of results on the IEBC commission website.
7. Odinga and his camp want the court to give an assurance that if Ruto's victory is rejected then the IEBC will recount and review the results of the presidential votes and declare Raila and Karua as president and his deputy respectively.
8. As IEBC is now, it cannot organize a free and fair election
9. Azimio claims that the court should recognize that there were many flaws that affected the results of the presidency
10. They want the court to ensure that illegal votes are removed from the final presidential results
11. The court orders that the result is not valid according to the law
12. The Supreme Court must confirm that Ruto did not meet the constitutional requirement of 50%+1 of the votes cast and his announcement was against the law
13. Azimio wants the court to ban the Certificate and publication of Ruto as the winner in the official government newspaper.
14. IEBC should hold another presidential election in accordance with the law if the flaws they mention are found by the judges.
15. They demand that the Declaration of 4 commissioners against the results be recognized and heard in court.
16. The decision of defendants 1,2,3,4,9 violated the election rules
17. They want the court to order that IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati is not fit to hold public office for what they say has undermined public morals and trust in IEBC
18. Azimio wants the IEBC commission, its chairman Wafula Chebukati and the outgoing deputy president Ruto to pay the cost of the case.
