A bishop has been accused of defiling a 10-year-old girl in Kibera

A famous bishop who leads a church in Kibera street was accused of defiling a 10-year-old girl in a Kibera court.

Stephen Wanyonyi Munyolo was charged on Monday before Kibera chief magistrate Ann Mwangi where he denied the charges.

The indictment read in court states that the accused committed the offense on different dates between September 8 and October 2022 in the Silanga area of ​​Kibera, Lang'ata sub-county.

He was charged with the second offense of committing an indecent act with the child against the law.

The servant of God is married to two wives and has 14 children.

The court, however, heard that he had defiled the girl on several occasions.

The prosecution, however, did not challenge his release on bail but sought stricter bail conditions.

The judge released him on Sh300,000 bond with a surety of the same amount without cash bail.

The defendant then asked to know if he could use his title deed to vouch for himself, which the court agreed to.

The judge ordered the case to be mentioned on October 28 for further instructions.
