Three people died after a building collapsed in Nairobi
At least three people have died after a building collapsed in the capital of Kenya, Nairobi.
A frantic search was underway to rescue at least 10 people, most of whom were believed to be construction workers.
Reports now say that six people have been rescued from the seven-storey building which was still under construction.
The manager in charge of the site twice ignored warnings from authorities to halt construction work following concerns about its stability, the Nation website reports.
Emergency crews on Wednesday morning were still at the scene, with heavy machinery removing construction materials and rescuers trying to find victims buried under the rubble.
The collapse of buildings under construction is not a new phenomenon in the city.
