Kioni Predicts Kenya Kwanza Will Die in 2027

Secretary General of the Jubilee party, Mr Jeremiah Kioni, on Tuesday predicted that the government of President William Ruto will serve for one term.

He blamed him for being vengeful and including "a person who destroys things" - his Deputy President - "who goes around pushing people everywhere".

Speaking on Citizen TV, Mr Kioni said "it doesn't matter if they plan to steal the 2027 general election or if they have brothers and sisters like the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC)... they will not see a second term".

Mr Kioni added that Mr Gachagua is actually an honest person as he always claims "and by exercising his honesty, he has exposed the revenge carried out by President Ruto's government".

He said Mr Gachagua's admission that he had some regional commissioners dismissed and others suspended, many others transferred, clearly showed that they are punishing those who are considered friends of former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

On Sunday, Mr Gachagua, speaking on Inooro TV, revealed that "the other day I was in Nyeri and I ordered the Commissioner for the Central Zone, Mrs Esther Maina to arrest all illegal alcohol manufacturers within three days as well as criminal bar staff and drug dealers".

Mr Gachagua revealed that "he thought it was a joke and today he has been fired.. the county commissioners will also be transferred... it is up to them to decide whether they or criminals are in charge of the county".

Mr Kioni said this clearly shows that Dr Ruto's government has started a war with those it wants to punish.

"The complaints they had that their friends were being abused in the government is the administration they are implementing against those who are considered friends of Jubilee. The message given here is that changing the government is punishing the friends of the outgoing government," he said.

He added that the government has decided "to go after the so-called people of Uhuru who are suspected of developing business with the government".

Although the government has abandoned its plan to form a judicial commission to investigate those who used the government for their own interests, Mr Gachagua on Sunday announced that "we will quietly and secretly confiscate their property they obtained illegally, we will search for contracts with their businesses, we will not pay the debts they claim and investigate their ongoing businesses ".

Mr Kioni warned Mr Gachagua that "that mouth of yours is good news for President Ruto who will use you to kill yourself with the words you utter".

He claimed that Mr Gachagua is ending himself politically far from being caught in the trap of freeing the Kikuyu community.

On Sunday, Mr Gachagua admitted that "there are those who complain that he talks too much." It is God's will that I be honest and I am not ready to change soon... you will have to bear with me because I will be silent when things start improving and benefiting our people”.
