Headless body of missing woman found in Kitutu Chache South
Hellen Angwenyi, 64, is believed to have fallen prey to the cruel and callous hands of her abductors, with the macabre discovery of her lifeless form bearing the marks of brutal violence, machete cuts upon her neck and hands, one of which was missing. The evidence points to a brutal attack that ended in her untimely death, with her body discovered in a state of advanced decomposition.
Area chief Elijah Ongera, in remarks that left me stunned, has suggested that the killers may have sneaked the body into the site at night and dumped it there, leaving the authorities with a puzzle that they may never solve. The body was later taken to the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital morgue, where it will hopefully be accorded the dignity that it deserves.
In other equally disturbing news, police in Gesonso are investigating a case where a man defiled his daughter, a mere 13-year-old child. The man, who has since been arrested, is said to have sneaked into the room where the minor slept, committing a heinous act that has left her life forever scarred. He will be arraigned in court on Friday, facing the full weight of the law for his atrocities.
