Kakamega Homeboyz Owner Shimanyula Fires Coach John Baraza, Picks Manoah To Lead
In a stunning twist of fate, Cleophas Shimanyula, owner of Kakamega Homeboyz, has taken decisive action by dismissing head coach John Baraza and his deputy Peter Okidi on Thursday due to a series of underwhelming results in the Kenyan Premier League. This swift move, which occurred just three months into their tenure, has resulted in Edward Manoar and John Waw being appointed as interim leaders.
The statement issued by the club highlights the reasons behind this drastic change, citing the poor performance in the Kenyan Premier as the driving force behind this move. The statement reads, "In an effort to steer the team towards success, we have made alterations to the technical bench, with immediate effect the Technical Director Edward Manoah and Goalkeeping Trainer John Waw will assume temporary leadership of the team. The rest will step aside."
Cleophas Shimanyula, who holds supreme authority at the club, has assured fans that better times are ahead and that positive changes are in the pipeline. He implores fans to be patient as the team works towards reclaiming its glory.
Unfortunately, Homeboyz has struggled in the top flight league, garnering only five wins in fifteen matches, with six other matches ending in a draw and four losses. Currently, they sit in eighth place on the league table with 21 points, a mere ten points behind leaders Nzoia Sugar.
