Michael Jordan's shoes sold for 2.2 million dollars

A pair of sports shoes once worn by former American basketball star Michael Jordan have sold for $2.2 million (£1.7m) at auction, making them the world's most expensive shoes ever.

The signed shoes were estimated to sell for between $2 million and $4 million, making them among the most expensive Jordan auction items ever.

In 2022, the jersey he wore during the 1998 NBA finals sold for $10.1 million.

This latest sale highlights Jordan's position as the most valuable athlete at sports memorabilia auctions.
