I started coaching when I was 13- Ghost Mulee says
The presenter of the Gidi and Ghost program in the morning on Radio Jambo, Jacob 'Ghost' Mulee has revealed that being the coach of the national football team was his biggest dream since childhood.
In an interview with writer Samuel Maina, Ghost revealed that he started chasing his dream of becoming a coach while in high school.
"Football has been my life. I wanted to be the coach of the national team. God blessed me and I became the national coach, it was my dream since I was 13 years old, I think I was in the second form," he said.
The former coach of Harambee Stars revealed that he managed to win his first title as a coach while in the third form.
Ghost expressed his pride in being able to represent Kenya as the head coach of the national football team three times.
"My ambition was to become a coach especially of the national team, and God benefited me, I have been a coach three times. I have been called, dismissed, called again and dismissed, until the last day. I am grateful," he said.
The presenter of the morning program however said that the last time he served as the national coach was his last and he made it clear that he is not looking to take that position again.
He revealed that he is currently involved in other football related activities including managing his school Liberty Sports Academy which produced striker Michael Olunga.
"I am also a teacher of trainers in this country. I am also a member of the Coaches in this country, we have a system known as KEFOCA. I also commentate football matches," he said.
In addition, Ghost congratulated the new sports minister Ababu Namwamba for the changes he has achieved in the short period he has been in office. He said that he has great faith in Hon Ababu.
