Three 'Mchele Babes' Arrested After Spiking Men's Drinks At Kamakis
Three women were apprehended by authorities after they allegedly spiked the drinks of three partygoers who had invited them to join them for a celebratory evening at a Kamakis-based nyama choma joint on the Eastern Bypass.
According to a statement from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the three men had visited Green Spot Gardens on Sunday afternoon, where they had a few drinks before they spotted the three women and invited them over to their table. The women, identified as Hellen Wambui (36), Irene Wairimu (30), and Fidelis Wambui (34), were initially reluctant to join the trio, but a humorous remark from one of the men finally convinced them to do so.
However, the DCI report stated that the women had laced the men's drinks with a stupefying substance, which they used to their advantage to lure the men into their trap. Unaware of the spiked drinks, the men continued to have a good time, listening to popular Kikuyu songs, and enjoying their company.
It wasn't until the bartender at the eatery noticed suspicious activity at their table that the police were informed and arrived on the scene, leading to the arrest of the three women. Stupefying tablets were recovered from the women during a search conducted by the authorities.
The three women will be kept in custody at Ruiru Police station as they await their arraignment.
